Along with medicines follow diabetes diet which simply means eating the healthiest foods in moderate amounts and sticking to regular mealtimes. A diabetes diet is a healthy-eating plan that's naturally rich in nutrients and low in fat and calories. Key elements are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Mr Dharmesh, Thanks for the query.
Janumet is containing Sitagliptin + metformin and Januvia 100 has only 100 mg Sitagliptin.
Doctor has asked you take the combination for better action. As regards the other medicine recommended by another doctor is it Homer 1 or Gemer1?
What is the HbA1c% value? What is mentioned is unclear.
If diabetes is under control then Fasting blood glucose should be <100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8.
If you want any specific treatment advise pl...more

Hello, thanks for the query.

Hello, Thanks for the query As you are on certain drugs your body gets adapted to those compounds. Therefore, some times the change in compound between similar drugs may nt give desired results. Trigenta is Linagliptin and Januvita is Sitagliptin, even though both have similar action, dosage is different. So there is a possibilty of different response. Results may improve over a period. You might ask your physician about it. There are still better options for stricter control like GLP! analogues...more
