Olmesartan is usually avoided in CKD for the fear of raising potassium levels. Take a second opinion.

Today I diagnosed with bp 160/112 at 9 pm. I am using tables olmezest 10 in the morning and olmetime 20 in the night. Should I continue this or should I look for another. Now am in usa for a business trip.

Hi.
Olmezest and Olmetime both have same component (Olmesartan), just different brand.
I wonder why your doctor has written 2 different brand of same medicine.
For the BP you are having, I will suggest taking 20mg both in morning and evening.

The doctor had written olmesar h 20 (Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg, Olmesartan (20 mg)) tablet for it. Is it safe to give this medicine to a diabetic patient?

Yes it is safe to use these medicines in diabetic. But what is reason for swelling. If not investigated then get her tests done. With these medicines and in elderly keep checking her electrolytes periodically.

No they are not the same..
Triolmesar contain 3 different medicine including olmesartan.
And it is better don't change any medication without consulting..

1st is a combination of 2 medicine olmisartan 40 and chlorthalidon where as 2nd in plain olmisartan 40.

Hi, you can stop olmesar and monitor bp for 6 weeks. If does not rise then continue without bp medicines. I think you donot need bp medicines if doing regular walking. But please monitor your bp for at least 6 weeks after stopping medicines.

Check BP only once every month on fixed date after resting for ten minutes. If your BP is below 140, these medicines are fine. If it stays below 120, minor dose reduction may be made by your Dr. Best wishes.
