Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query.
The drugs mentioned Glimepiride and Voglibose are different in their action.
Metformin is supposed to reduce or delay glucose absorption and hence slows down blood glucose rise after taking food. Plus it also reduces insulin resistance hence helps blood glucose control. There are other beneficial effects like helps slight weight reduction.

According to your drug history, u are taking 5 types of antidiabetic drugs simultaneusly at this moment. I would suggest u to check your hba1c, urea, creatinine. If hba1c is higher than 8 % and your creatinine is more than 1. 5 despite taking all these medications, u should switch over to insulin which will be better for your health. For further help, u may be send me private message.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Voglbose is given to reduce post prandial (after food) glucose rise. Glucose may be high or normal before food, but with intake of dinner or lunch blood glucose levels are bound to go up, hence Voglbose is given to delay the conversion of disaccharides to. Glucose and delay the absorption. Another aspect Voglbose is usually recommended with every meal, that 3 times a day. Lastly repeted dose or medicine changing is not at all recommended. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
In diabetes, homeopathy treatment does not help in controlling blood glucose. Continuing that treatment is a waste of time, money and effort. It is quite vible from your blood glucose levels. Fasting 250 mg & PP 400 mg levels are too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. With this you are likely to get the long term complications of diabetes much earlier.

Mr. lybrate-user, Your blood glucose is not in control. When in control fasting should be closer to 100 mg, after food 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. Mentioned levels are too high. This means either the drugs being taken are not adequate or your diet and exercise are not as needed. You need to re look at the total treatment. Thanks.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query.
Madam you have mentioned quite a few drugs, which you want to take. Even though your glucose levels are too high, it is difficult to say whether you can all of these. The treatment for diabetes is not just taking a bunch of medicines which reduce glucose. Each medicine has a specific role and based on each patients needs the treating doctor decides how to begin the treatment. Plus it is also necessary to know patient's age, dietary habits, kidney functi...more
