Tacrolimus ointment helps reduce inflammatory skin reactions. It is prescribed for people with moderate-to-severe eczema, usually as an alternative to other treatments such as steroid creams or ointments. Hello Ruth I am sure they gave you a steroid before you started tacrolimus, an immunomodulator.You would have to use the medications for atleast 6-8 weeks to see any improvement at all.

Tacroz Forte 0.1% Lotion can be taken orally either with a meal or without.
