My mother is having uti. She takes urispas and uriliser. Is it a safe combination to treat uti? She also takes nitrobest and levomac 750.

Please get urine for culture sensitivity done at a credible lab. That can be correlated to her current medication. In case the offending agent is sensitive to the medicine she is on, it can be continued for the prescribed number of days, otherwise, it can be changed to a sensitive antibiotic.

Dysuria and hurt during pee are suggestive of infection. You can try the two medicines mentioned above. I hope you have visited a doctor before taking these medicines take a complete course of the medicine and still if you have problem you should get tested again. Diarrhoea may not necessarily get better with this medication.

Urifast is a urinary infection antibiotic. First you should find the cause of your urinary compalints like infection, obstruction etc. Infection is detected by urine routine tests, or culture test. Sometimes sonography is required to find the cause. You have not mentioned your age. Consult urologist for proper management.

Continue antibiotics
continue antipyretics give coconut water, a lot of fluids.

My mother aged 45 has been taking nitrofurantoin tablets for uti since 15 days. The abdomen pain goes sometimes and comes back again. In tests, ecoli is shown sensitive to nitrofurantoin. Still why the infection is not going away?

Uti is one of the cause of pain abdomen but not the only cause, there may be other disease overlapping uti, you should go for usg w/a, look for fever & repeat c/s.

It is better to wait for the culture report. Till then take plenty of fluids orally and increase your intake of vitamin c. Urifast 100 is considered safe in pregnancy.

If you have fear of taking that then use homeopathy sbl no 3 drops daily 2 times 20-20 drops should be taken in cup of normal water and it does not have any side effects also.

Uva ursi 30 and Equisetum 30 both three times daily.
