There’s no one-size-fits-all approach when you have an enlarged prostate and you’re trying to decide what to do next.
Each person reacts in his own way to the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (bph), a common condition for men as they age.
If your symptoms don’t bother you much and you haven’t gotten any complications, you may choose to just keep a regular eye on things.
This means seeing a doctor once a year -- or sooner if your symptoms change.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user fernandez
thanks a lot for the kind query. There is some erectile problems and also retrograde ejaculation being felt by some patients. If the doses are correctly adjusted, then this problem can be corrected as well.

For prostate size more than 40 grams. You should take combination therapy
take urimax-d/…d is dutasteride
with this prostate size. It is less likely that medicines will work much. Get an assessment of post-voidal residue. You can send you reports to me.

F stands for finasteride which blocks conversion of testosterone hormone to dihydrotestestorone (dht) which helps in growth of prostrate
psa is a market for prostrate cancer
when finasteride or dutasteride are used they decrease psa level spuriously and masks the ongoing prostate cancer so before using finast one has to check a baseline psa.

Prostate or its enlargement is not a disease. It is treated only when you have obstructive symptoms.

Mr. lybrate-user.
You have moderately enlarged prostate with residual urine volume about 54. Cc. Since when you are taking urimax-D it is a good drug. One thing you can try to reduce water intake after 6 pm your night frequency may reduce. please try this and contact me after 15 days, and also please don't go out in cold days avoid excess of alcohol if you are taking. Take bath with warm water and sit in warm water.

Though feet pain and tingling are not known / frequently reported side effects of tamsulosin / urimax, consulting your doctor with these complaints is advisable. There are several causes independent of your medication that could be the cause. If you are a diabetic, that could cause these symptoms or there could be a problem with lower spine. But instead of speculating, its better to get it thoroughly checked by a doctor.

Well. Contiflo contains tamsulosin an alpha blocker. It is used routinely for benign hyperplasia of prostate. It has a role in lower ureteric stones and ureterovesical junction stones as it helps to evacuate them. However in a kidney stone it does not have much role. Your stone size is very small. Take lots of fluids and exercise. You can try cystone tabs. However I don't think contiflo has much role in kidney stones as such. Regards.
