Madam, it appears he has uncontrolled diabetes (hba1c 11.3%). Volix is voglibose a drug given to slow down glucose absorption following a meal. It helps in reducing after food rise blood glucose level. However, his treatment for diabetes is not adequate, needs to be changed. In good controlled diabetes hba1c level is around 6.5%

According to your drug history, u are taking 5 types of antidiabetic drugs simultaneusly at this moment. I would suggest u to check your hba1c, urea, creatinine. If hba1c is higher than 8 % and your creatinine is more than 1. 5 despite taking all these medications, u should switch over to insulin which will be better for your health. For further help, u may be send me private message.

So all her food intake (calories) should be calculated considering that weight and extent of daily physical exercise and blood sugar levels. Even if she reduces 5 to 7 kgs,...more

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.

Fasting 250 mg & PP 400 mg levels are too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. With this you are likely to get the long term complications of diabetes much earlier.
Best is to start appropriate modern medicine drugs along with diet control and regul...more

Yes metformin and voglibose be taken at a same time. Both are the diabetic medications, and Voglibose prevents absorption of sugar from foods whereas the metformin controls insulin effects
