wysolone 20 tab report by a hematology/oncology for my elder sister due to decreasing platelet count since 2 month after consulting MD Phy. After all lab examinations like Every 2 days once Repeat platelet counting and Bone marrow aspiration studies That MD Phy suggested to consult with haematologist. That hematology suggested wysolone 20 MG Dr. told me to take 10 days course of wysolone 20 mg again 10 days later Dr. Asked me to come for consulting purpose we went there but the Dr. was out of country so that we stopped to use that medication I mean wysolone 20 mg Tab. But unfortunately I came to know that if we suddenly stop using that wysolone 20 Mg tab may cause other problems. May I know the solution for that Note :- again we started taking wysolone 20 MG tab from today.

Yes, you have got right information.
Wysolone is a Prednisolone, it is a corticosteroid.
Steroids dose should be tapered before stopping it.
From provided information, it seems that your sister is suffering from Autoimmune condition, so steroids.
It will be better that you consult same hematologist for further line of treatment.
Presently continue with Wysolone 20 mg in prescribed doses.

My husband is taking Wysolone 10 mg tablet thrice a day for cough and chest congestion for last 2 days, he is a diabetic with sugar levels under 110–115, with medication, Galvusmet 850 twice a day, and exercise 5 days a week. Now after taking Wysolone his Sugar level has suddenly spike to 145 (fasting) and 195 (PP). Is this normal? Will it come down again to normal level once Wysolone is stopped?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Prednisolone present in that tablet has a diabetogenic action, meaning increasng the blood gluose level. SO as long as that drug is being taken there is bound to be an increase in the blood glucose level. Thanks.

I have affected by bell palsy in my left face has made partial facial paralysis. Under treatment of prednisolone 10mg with stamlo 10 mg to check high bp (hg 150/100) and Zovirez 400 mg tds. Its 7 th day. whether any further medical diagonoatic test reqd. Hw many days min req by Physio stimulation@12 min and massaging and whether any other drug may be required if instead of Wysolone.

The treatment is fine if its acute onset bell's palsy. Wysolone will be gradually tapered and omitted. Make sure your bp is under 140/90.

I took tab wysolone 10 mg (bd) for 3 and half days total 7 tablets consumed and stopped. After near about 10 days I found my bp 170/100. I am not a bp or sugar patient. Can it may be the side effects of this steroid or something else. Please guide me.

Half life of prednisolone is 6 hours. So it is not related to prednisolone. Increase dose of telme am.

I search about these two medicine and got shocked when I read their side effects. So I decided to stop taking these. Now I requested to you .please give me a similar formula of these medicines in ayurveda or homeopathy. But allopathy medicine has so many side effects and I don't want to suffer more pain. I have been prescribed pyzina 1000 along with wysolone 40 as Dr. was not distinguish between tb and sarcoidosis. After a month of medication uric acid test shows 13.55 which is very high. Now Dr. wants pyzina 1000 to be discontinued and advised to take disprin 325 thrice a day with milk. Is it advisable to discontinue pyzina midway and start disprin.

TB can never be treated with pyzina and prednisolone alone. The diagnosis should be established by histopathological examination (biopsy). If it is determined as TB, then full-fledged antitubercular drugs should be prescribed. If it is diagnosed as sarcoidosis, the first treatment is prednisolone and if the response is not adequate, then various chemotherapeutic drugs should be added.

You can't use tablets for cure
you can use only topical creams and face washes for how many days you have to use prednisolone till that time you have to use.
