Dr Savita Malhotra has an experience of 42 years. She retired from PGIMER, Chandigarh on 31.01.2016 as Dean, PGIMER and Professor & Head, Department of Psychiatry. She is known internationally and nationally for academic excellence in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She has served on many national committees and bodies involved in planning and policy making in the country. She is a recognized leader and resource person in mental health and child mental health at the national and international level. She has provided treatment and care to a large number of psychiatric patients in PGI for decades. She has been a teacher to students of MD, PhD in Psychiatry and DM in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
