I am Dr. Lekshmy Rana, Gynaecologist. I will talk about what to transfer in IVF: deathray or blastocyst. Usi din lady mein sperm inject kia jata hai ICSI or IVF ke through. 18 hours baad lab mein dekha jaata hai ki kitne bij fertilize hue hain. Embroyo ki hum grading karte hain dekhne ke lia ki kitna percentage fragmentation hai. Agar 20% fragmentation nahi hai or cells ka number acha nahi hai toh grade kam mein count kia jaata hai. Agar sare cells ache shape and fragmented nahi hai toh ache grade mein mana jaata hai. Saare eggs ko hum 5 days tak lab mein grow karte hain. Jo 5th day embryo banta hai use blastocyst kehte hain.

Usmein cells bohot jyada ho jaate hain. Peripheral mein jo cell hai vo baad mein placenta ban jaata hai. Inner cell baad mein fetus ya baby banta hai. Blastocyst ka bhi grading hota hai. Usmein dekha jata hai ki cavity kaisi hai, cells kaise hain. Blastocyst technique ki advantage kya hoti hai? 3rd day ka best embryo blastocyst mein jaake develop hota hai. Ismein hum best embryo select kar sakte hain. Maximum 2 blastocysts transfer kia jaa sakte hain. Agar patient ko twins nahi chaiye toh hum single and best blastocyst transfer kar sakte hain. Usmein multiple pregnancy ke chances hone bhi kam hain. Kyuki ismein hum 2 se jyada embryo nahi dalte hain. IVF ka sabse bada complication hai ovarian hyperstimulation jo ovary mein jyada eggs bante hain, swelling hoti hai aur uski vajaha se peat mein paani bahar jaata hai.

Agar kisi ko aise symptoms aa rahien hain toh hum aise cases mein embryo transfer nahi kar sakte hain. Jab ovary normal stage mein hoti hai toh hum embryo transfer kar sakte hain. Iska disadvantage ye hai ki jab hum egg transfer karte hain toh usmein 3 se kam egg quality milta hai. Agar aisa hai toh use hum blastocyst tak grow karenge. Kabhi aisa bhi ho sakta hai ki ek bhi blastocyst na banne. Aise case mein transfer cancel karna padta hai. Jab blastocyst bante hain usmein embryo ka number 70% se kam hota hai. Humein freeze karne ke lia embryo kam milta hai aur kabhi kabhi koi bhi embryo nahi milta hai.

So, most of the couple who comes for an IVF treatment usually ask Dr after transfer what to do, what to eat, can I climb stairs, how can I travel, so these are the common questions are asked. The most important thing, you have to stay healthy after the treatment. Take a well-balanced diet. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.

Drink a lot of water. Water helps in preventing ovarian hypostatization syndrome. How much exercise can you do after the transfer? Walking and swimming are always recommended. These prevent weight gain also. Do your regular activities in the house and the office. No complete bed rest is required after IVF. You have to take the medications as prescribed by your Dr. Because hormone support is given after transfer is very important for success. So take proper medicines at the correct timings. You have to be mentally stress-free. Keep your mind relax. You can do some meditation, yoga or mindfulness techniques. You can take the support of your partner and your family members.

All these things are very important in getting positive results. Avoid eating unhealthy food. That is one thing you have to take precaution. You can lead a normal life. You can get proper success after IVF.
