I am Dr. Shaival Chauhan, Orthopedist. Today I will talk about knee arthritis. Nowadays, most common question the patients have is the knee replacement the only option or final treatment option. First I will explain you that what exactly happen at the time of the knee arthritis. In between our knee bones their is a cartilage. It is a protective layer. At you get aged, the part of this cartilage starts getting teared. And sooner nothing is left like cartilage. And there is the surgical procedure to replace the cartilage.

Few medicines are available which gives you relief but these gives you relief at the starting point. There is another way also where we inject lubricant in the joint. So, at the end the only option will be left is replacement. So, we replace it with a metallic cap. 95% of the time this procedure is not painful.
