If both neuroimaging and eeg are normal and you never had a seizure in last 3 yrs, your antiepileptic can gradually be withdrawan.

I had seizure 3 years ago. I consulted a neurologist and stated taking leviteractam tablets, still taking it. Never had seizure again in 3 years. But I'm unclear about the doctor as he is not commenting on stopping the tablets even after normal EEG reports.
What should I do about this?

We can try to reduce if his seizures are controlled. Needs to be evaluated for other causes of drowsiness.

My father [aged 85 yrs] had an episode of cerebrovascular attack about 10 years back.. Has been on Phenytoin Sodium 300 mg HS since then. Also Levetiracetam 500 mg OD had been added since 2010. Recently since last 2 years Clobazam 10 mg HS has been added. Currently he has been very drowsy. Can any of these medication be reduced?

Living with a Brain Tumor

It seems vertebral artery is thrombosed due to dissection. He needs to be evaluated for cause of dissection and needs to be antiplatelet medication. Is he still symtomatic.

   My husband is 35 years old and he had a dissection in his left vertebral artery on 22/11/2012. He was done a procedure by giving injection by catheter.  Now after 3 years MRI was done.  The report says his whole left vertebral artery is completely blocked. Dr. says nothing can be done the right is working n supplying the required amt of flow to brain. Please let me know whether there is chance of spreading to the other artery also. and is there any procedure to remove the blockage. Please do help me in this regard i am really worried.
