I am a male and had sex with a woman. While having it my inner thigh was cut by her very sharp leg nails and it was bleeding. Am I at HIV risk?
Ask Free Question
Hello- The soft skin under the nail does not provide direct access to the bloodstream and thus does not allow for HIV transmission (unless, as you already know, it is actively bleeding from a deep cut). Bodily surfaces that can transmit HIV are thin mucous membranes such as those in the vagina, anus, urethra in the penis, etc. Even mucous membranes in the mouth are too thick for HIV transmission.

Dear user. I can understand. HIV spreads through Contact between broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes and HIV-infected blood or blood-contaminated body fluids. Deep, open-mouth kissing if both partners have sores or bleeding gums and blood from the HIV-positive partner gets into the bloodstream of the HIV-negative partner. HIV is not spread through saliva. Take care.
