Hi doctor. My 2 year daughter has habit of thumbsucking. Somebody suggested femite. Are these medicines safe? any safer alternative. Thanks.

Femite is a safe preparation, it is not really a medicine but rather just a herbal kind of preparation (like neem juice) which helps in controlling thumb sucking behaviour in children thumb sucking can continue till the age of 2-5 years and is considered normal upto 2 years of age. Though the success rates are variable, no adverse effects have been reported. Contact privately for more advice.
