Dear Lybrate Doctor, Recently I read in some News Paper that Papaya juice cures all types of cancer. One Cancer patient (can not say what cancer) consumed 2 glasses of papaya juice and within 2 months, he was completely cured from Cancer. The doctors themselves could not believe that he recovered so fast. Can not say, at what stage the Cancer was but still there is one definite cure, as per Doctors. Further one Medical reports says that wheat sprouts also cure Cancer because Cancer is basically deficiency of Vitamin B 17 which causes Cancer cells to grow without control. It was mentioned that Wheat sprouts have Vitamin B 17 in abundance and is a certain cure for Cancer. Unfortunately, wrong advertising makes people run away from right treatment. I wish treatment of cancer was so easy. I would have been the first one to do that. Having been treating almost 20 patients a month on charitable basis, we feel helpless that there are no good therapies. These naturopaths and quacks just want to become famous in a short cut way, so they publish this nonsense and feed off gullible folks. Every month we treat at least 5 patients who have progressed from stage 1 to stage 4 just because they kept trying all these useless regimes. Cancer is one word but a thousand manifestations. Few home truths about cancer are 1) stage 1 and 2 can be cures if treated as per protocol 2) stage 3 cancers in most organs can be treated but will recur after some time 3) stage 4 cancers can't be cured. They can be controlled for a pretty long time based on new medicine as seen in breast cancer, lung cancer, peritoneal cancer 4) there are only three modalities of treatment which can cure. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Everything else is supportive 5) No cancer will get cured with juices /vitamins etc. If it has got cured, it was not a cancer to begin with.
