Dear lybrateuser, - As muskmelon has a high GI index it is better to avoid it or if you have the portion should be very small as it may raise the blood sugar - the other fruits which can be had include citrus fruits, orange, sweet lime, berries including raspberries, strawberries, pears, apple, guava, kiwi, cherries( avoid banana, chickoo, mangoes, custard apple as they contain high level of natural sugars).
