It's normal. Your hymen is still intact, and the hymen essentially narrows the entrance of your vagina into a smaller hole. When you have sex for the first time (or if you insert penis-sized objects, or sometimes if you hurt yourself), the hymen will tear, usually in several places. That usually comes with some pain and often some bleeding, and girls may experience pain and tearing the first several times they have sex (though not all girls do). Eventually, the hymen is torn enough that it no longer impedes insertion of a penis or fingers, and so there's no more pain due to that anymore. This is often the point where girls start to enjoy sex.
