Is TSM (The Sinclair Method) safe for alcohol de-addiction. How good is Naltrexone to use as specified in that for opiate blocker/ remove addiction. How and where can I be guided for its use. Do I need to use Naltrexone under medical supervision.

Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. Naltrexone is just one of the many anti-craving medications used in the treatment of alcohol use disorders. Anti-craving medicines are one of the multiple groups of medicines that are used. It is also important to understand that medication is only one part of the treatment or 'de-addiction' Naltrexone definitely needs to be prescribed under medical supervision and monitoring. Based on a detailed evaluation, we must first see if naltrexone would suit you or other anti-craving medicines would be better. Also, the evaluation will guide us to decide whether other medicines/ psychotherapy/ lifestyle changes/ medical interventions/ tests are needed or not.
