Hello doctor, I am male/24/weight 89 kg/ height: around 180 cm/ 3 months back my blood pressure was high (105/150) and I was on medication for 5 days and I became normal (doctor told it was because of anxiety). Now for a week or more I felt my heart rate was elevated! (resting rate 100-110) I don't know the reason. I checked my bp it was normal 85/130. And doctor given me beta blocker (nebicard 2.5 mg (nebivolol 2.5 mg)). Having taken it for 3 days now I feel my heart rate is normal (75-85)! I want to know may I stop taking it now? As many said stopping will rebound effect! should I must visit doctor again? Or can I stop it as I just took it for 3 days?

Stopping any medication and also blood pressure medication without consulting the doctor could be harmful and hence you should not stop it unless its suggested by your cardiologist. The reason for your fluctuating heart rate will be clearly determined by a cardiologist .Heart health is much more than just checking the bp and the heart rate and your overrall health, lifestyle, diet also is interrelated. So please visit a cardiologist it will be the best choice even it seems to be minor problem.
