Sir/mam I am 16 years old I have a problem while study I feel so much sleepy and not only at the time of studying but whole day I feel tired and sleepy. I used to take a after noon nap to boost myself. But after the nap I feel same as before the nap. please give me the solution of my problem as soon as possible.

Hello lybrate-user I bet most of the people of your age group go through this phase. I would advise you to start some exercise concentrate on your diet and distribute your time in a better way. Get involved in some sport. Sweat out a bit. You can get back to me in any case.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Your problem could be due to improper sleep, imbalanced diet, lack of exercise or hormonal disbalance - you should get proper restful sleep for at least 7-8 hrs in the night, nap only for half to one hour in the afternoon if you feel sleepy as more will disturb night sleep - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables including green leafy ones, whole grains, legumes including lentils, beans, sprouts, peas, lean meats, nut - have snacks in between meals so that you get a constant supply of energy - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, yoga in the morning for 10-15 min to keep you alert & fresh the whole day - if not much improvement then consult a doctor as hormone level check will be required.
