Broncho vascular markings represent the vessels going into and out of the lungs. Increased markings denote increased blood flow. There can be a number of reasons why this may occur. However, the most common reason is taking a deep breath in when the x-ray is taken. Other causes are widely varied, starting from a simple viral infection to heart failure.
