I am suffering from an infection after an intercourse in which I have so much pain in my lower tummy and it seems like I have a continuous pressure of passing urine but when I go so it's so painful to pass the urine. The pain is almost same like the mensuration one. I also search this problem online. May be I am suffering from UTI. I am not able to understand what to do next.

Dear Deeksha, The most common UTIs occur mainly in women and affect the bladder and urethra. Infection of the bladder (cystitis). This type of UTI is usually caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli), a type of bacteria commonly found in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. However, sometimes other bacteria are responsible. The first-choice agents for treatment of uncomplicated acute cystitis in women include nitrofurantoin monohydrate/macrocrystals, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMX), or fosfomycin. Beta-lactam antibiotics may be used when other recommended agents cannot be used. Do consult a gynecologist for physical investigation. Take care.
