Dear Dr. I am 68 years. There is a soft obviously sebaceous lump size of a lemon on the inner side of my right thigh, growing for the last few years. Never got it checked by Dr. There is no pain. I'm a Retired police official, practicing law post retirement, and neglected till date. Please advise whether I should get it removed surgically. Practically there is no pain or inconvenience from it. - pvsrao.

Any swelling should be removed. There are some benign swellings which may turn malignant at al later time. So go to a Specialist Surgeon and get it examined and get it removed sothat you do not have to bother about it.
