My daughter just turned 9 this month. She is developing habit off sleep walking. 2 years back she had this habit especially before her exams but then out was gone totally. .now it its appearing again. She gets scared at night too. But that is her different phase. While she doing sleep walking she its totally unaware of her surroundings. I day time she is happy normal girl. Moderately active. Above average student. What do Dr. suggest me in this case. Is out normal or any thing I should be worried about.

Hi, sleep walking in children is not abnormal. To reduce and stop this activity make her physically tired by engaging her in sports in the evening. Before going to bed give her Luke warm milk. Play some soothing music. I would also suggest her thorough physiological examination done by a pediatrician.
