My friend is a 58 years old male from Mumbai. I am on BP medicines for some time. Should I also take ecosprin 75 once daily as a preventive measure?

Ecosprin or Aspirin can reduce the risk for heart attack and ischemic stroke. However, using aspirin over the long-term can raise your risk for stomach bleeding. Daily aspirin should not be used for prevention in healthy people who are at low risk for heart disease. To evaluate your risk for heart disease you should get an ECG and 2D ecocardiography done along with cardiologist consultations.
