Hi as my wife was suffering from fever from last a week and we went to a govt hospital as the they give diclofenac injection for two days and one DNS they gave after that she find relief and they gave tablet also called diclofenac tablet for two times she took after that she got swelling in the legs like feet and knee now she is suffering from swelling and pain pls help.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Some patients may develop swelling in lower limbs due to retention of water and sodium following intake of certain NSAIDs like diclofenac. It could be due to not tolerating that drug. So it is better she avoids it. First thing is stop the drug and if needed some antihistaminic may be used. Swelling will go away after stopping the drug. Henceforth, she should avoid using that compound again. Thanks.
