How do we do meditation and pranayama? Are they to be done in the morning empty stomach?

Ideal time to do pranayama and meditation is early morning on empty stomach. It is preferable to clear your bowels before doing pranayama. You can drink a glass of water or lime juice 15 minutes before doing pranayama. The logic of empty stomach means that when you are doing pranayama your intestines must be clear of waste products and all food stuff you have eaten must be digested by the time you do pranayama. In case process of digestion is on, body's energy will be diverted for digestion process whereas while doing yoga, pranayama all energy must be concentrated towards asanas or pranayama.
