Good evening sir / mam. My son is 3n half years old. He is suffering from fever frequently. Means once in a month some times twice in a month. We consulted child specialist and done mantoux test. The test is positive. Doctor said some other tests should be done. So chest x ray n ESR also done. But everything is normal. Doctor said nothing to worry. But my son got some ulceration tested area from 3 rd day of test. I was worried. Is this indication for tb infection or nothing worry. Other than fever my son has not any other symptoms of TB. Please advice thank you.

In children most common symptom of tb is fever either prolonged or recurrent. As mx (measurement you have not mentioned) test is positive he may need treatment. Xray does not show any thing in most of the cases. Ulceration at the site of injection may a sign of severe reaction.
