My 15 years old daughter is diagnosed with rheumatic fever - aso titre 2152 and 1545 - blood tests done in a one week gap. Ana screen test showed negative. Is there any other checks to be done to confirm the ailment is under control now.

Rheumatic fever is diagnosed by jones criterias, there are 5 major, clinical, laboratory and essential criterias. Aso titre can be elevated by any streptococcus infection, as its titre of antibodies produced against' streptolysin o, a exotoxins produced by bacteria. While rheumatic fever is immunologic manifestation of streptococcus infection. So only aso titres can't be diagnostic in abcense of clinical and lab criterias. Need more information to conclude.
