Recently I found ants in my urinate pot and I got my urine test done. The test shows presence of protein in my urine. And also a sign A+++ was written which I don't understand what it indicates. As I google about this problem, I got to know its something related to kidney infection where kidney fails to filter protein out of blood. Therefore kindly guide me if I just have to take anti-biotic or its a serious problem and I need to consult a physician as well. As sometimes I feel pain in my left side of my stomach. I smoke and drink as well and the frequency is 2-3 times in a month. Kindly guide me. What to do.

Respected lybrate-user, hi this is in relation with kidney infection with some sort of bacteria. A+++ indicate, presence of significant amount of albumin in the urine, and kidney is not functioning as it should be. Do not panic, drink plenty of liquids. Continue antibiotics. Have once serum creatinine level, ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis done and then consult with the report. Wishing you fine health ahead. Thanks ,regards dear take care.
