I am 57 years male. I have taken a blood report yesterday where it reflected Serum creatine as 1.3,uric acid 7.1 and TSH 0.32.Most of the time my creatine and uric acid is at the border level. Please advise. Worried whether it is beginning of kidney related problems. Also advise on the FOOD I can have and should avoid. Googling on Food gives too many confusing answers. I do not have BP and sugar.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The values mentioned particularly of creatinine and & TSh are with in normal limits. Only uric acid is slightly high. That does matter if you have any joint related problems. If not then there is no reason to worry about. There is no special food required for the sake of creatinine. However, looking at your weigh and height it is clear that with a BMI of 37.5 kgs/M2 you are close to grade 3 obesity. This is the most bothersome aspect. Unless weight is brought down it can lead to various problems related to kidney, heart and liver and joints. You have to reduce the intake of junk foods, pastries, bakery items, sweets, aerated sweetened drinks (colas), food made of maida and red meat and certain sea foods. Refrain from alcohol and smoking. Plus work towards reducing the weight. Your ideal body weight (IBF) should be 60 kgs. This is the main culprit. Thanks.
