Hi I am 29 years old. For 4 to 5 years, I am suffering from alopecia. My hairs are very week at the front top and I have started to feel less hair on the middle of my head as well. I have used Tugain (Minoxidil) 5% and Biotin tablet. It helps but very little. I have heard Minoxidil is the only best possible solution and also approved by FDA. My side hairs are gone and Middle hair are less. Is there anything can be done?

Hi lybrate-user, Ayurveda can offer a holistic approach to healthy hair by arresting hair loss. Ayurvedic remedies like natural hair care with herbs can boost hair growth. Simple changes in dietary habits can also have a positive effect. Here are some hair care tips as an Ayurvedic solution for hair growth to give you gorgeous, flowing locks. 1. Amla - Since one of the reasons for hair loss could be impurities in your blood, opt for amla or amlaki for its purifying power. Indian gooseberry is power packed with the goodness of Vitamin C among many minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. It prevents grey hair and acts as a conditioner to give you strong and silken strands. Make a potent Ayurvedic treatment for long and strong hair by using amla in a hair pack. Mix together amla powder, fenugreek powder and brahmi powder in a cup of curd. Apply and leave on for an hour or two. Wash it off with a mild shampoo. 2. Neem - Hair loss can occur due to scalp infections and dandruff. Neem has great antibacterial properties which can help reduce this hair loss. Switch out chemical hair washes for this powerful natural alternative. Boil a cup of neem leaves in four cups of water. Strain and cool this mixture. Rinse your hair with this water post-shampoo. This hair loss treatment for men and women will make your scalp flake-free and keep hair fall at bay. You could also do an Ayurvedic head massage (champi) with neem oil. 3. Jojoba Oil - Ayurveda believes that oiling hair regularly can have multiple benefits like: - strengthening hair from the root - deep conditioning your locks - preventing premature graying - relieving stress - regulating sleep cycles Jojoba oil is highly recommended for its ability to nourish the scalp and encourage hair growth. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
