My mother have Mucinous Cystadenocarcinoma in the ovary after open surgery of ovary cyst. In Histopathology Report: SMALL TISSUE BIOPSY/PB SPECIMEN BIOPSY - OVARY. GROSS: RECEIVED A SINGLE GREY WHITE SOFT TISSUE FRAGMENT MEASURING 2.5�2.0�1.0 CMS. CUT SECTION IS GREY WHITE. (ENTIRE TISSUE PROCESSED IN TWO PARAFFIN BLOCKS). MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION: SECTIONS SHOW MUCINOUS CYSTADENOCARCINOMA OF THE OVARY. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO COMMENT ON THE CAPSULAR SURFACE INTEGRITY AS ONLY A FRAGMENT OF ENTIRE TISSUE IS received. INTERPRETATION DIAGNOSIS MUCINOUS CYSTADENOCARCINOMA OF THE OVARY. PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS. PLEASE SOLUTION FOR THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Dear Lybrate user, capsule integrity is broken possibly, which labels it as capsule breached cystadenocarcinoma. Kindly do necessary blood test post op including ca ovary specific marker test and CT imaging to see for any residual tissue. Further treatment depends upon these results. She can b treated. Be relaxed.
