Hello! sir/mam I have a 6 years old pomerian and now I adopted a stray dog which is approx. 8-9 months old. Now the pomerian has started attacking the smaller one n is becoming aggressive. Please help how to tackle the situation. Can I give some medicine (homeo) for controlling anger or something else. Thanks.

Dogs are very territorial and possessive. Obviously the older dog feels some intrusion into her space and will attack the intruder. You must keep them separate for some time and gradually bring them together. Feed them separately too and when you take them out have two handlers to prevent them getting too close. Over a period of time they can be let to play together gradually. You must give the pomeranian a lot of assurance that she is loved. You may also introduce them to each other keeping the older dog on a leash. during play they will slowly get used to each other and form a good bond. No medication is required as this is a normal response anyway. The pomeranian must be reprimanded for her aggression every time and acknowledged for any gentleness too.
