Fissure is like a small linear ulcer at the snap opening. Because the nerve endings from the raw are are exposed to the passage of motion, It causes pain. This pain in turn makes the involuntary circular muscle fibers of internal sphincter to contract and go in spasm making the opening narrow causing more friction while passing next motion. The vicious cycle sets in causing more and more pain. This generally occurs due to straining at hard stools. Stools becomes hard if the fiber content of the diet is low. Vegetables like green leafy vegetables, carrots and cucumber has more fiber and more capacity to keep stools soft. Increase their intake in your diet. Chicken, mutton and fish have good amount of proteins bu are very poor in fibers. Hence don't forget to take salad alongside when you are having non veg diet. Hope this satisfies some of your queries and help make changes to your diet.
