Child of diabetic mother may suffer from serious complications like macrosomia. Iugr. Neural tube defects etc. As a father avoid excessive alcohol smoking etc which may affect sperm count. Keep your sugars well controlled. Type 2 diabetes is hereditary and your child has chances of getting diabetes in his further life.
