My wife has delivered a baby girl on 6th december 2017. She has undergone a normal delivery with some removable stitches. She is using betadine powder as prescribed by the govt doctor. But she got some pus which is there for 1 stitch. Can she use antibiotic as cefixime tablets or what is the cure for pus? She is now using cipladine ointment after pus is recognized. She is felling better but how to cure and take prevention?

Infection can sometimes happen after stitches. Maintain hygiene. Take medicines as advised by doctors. Clean the area after going to the toilet, each time.
