Specific - all carbs are not bad. You need to stop packed & commercial foods which are rich in processed carbs, like all baked products, salty snacks, dairy products. Consume good carbs like fruits in morning and large quantity of salads before lunch and dinner. Take green leaf soup. In main meals, take curries more than chapati/rice. Stop white sugar and replace with jaggery. Do no-oil cooking. Very low salt intake. With this you will have better results.

Breakfast - One slice of bread + one egg + sprouts. Lunch one roti + salad bowl + dal bowl. Dinner - Rice bowl + Veg grill + beans bowl. This is just one example of how you can reduce carbs i.e by having equal amount of veg/salad/dal/sprouts/protiens etc. Also if you want to reduce carbs, cut down all maida and replace with multigrain atta. Stop white rice and take hand pound rice/brown rice/millets. This way you can reduce carbs and replace them with good protiens or complex carbs.
