Hi, Since last two weeks, I have been studying on basic neuroscience, being an avid bio-oriented reader. I came across the happy hormone 'seratonin' Does 100 mg/200 mg of Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) prevents emotional disasters (anxiety/depression/panic attacks etc.) is it right or not Please suggest me?

Dear lybrate-user, It is true that Niacinamide is needed to produce serotonin. That does not mean, if you take 100-200 mg more, you will produce more serotonin and you will be more happy. Most of the B vitamins including B3 are water soluble. If there is a deficiency, it will be absorbed. If it is adequate, it will be eliminated in urine.
