I got PCOD and I am married since last 2 years. My weight is 55 and height is 5.1inc. We have started treatment and now doctor has asked us to don't do any planning and advice us to start treatment for pregnancy. Now doctor has given letoval 2.5 mg doses for five days and injection of gonal f75. Can you please advice us on the above medicines, treatment and should we plan pregnancy now or should we wait for some time?

PCOD there is hormonal imbalance and long time treatment is required with patience. Depending on history, examination findings, reports and stage of life treatment changes so meeting Gynecologist in whom you have trust and are ready to visit often is important. In PCOD ovulation- release of ovum is deranged because of hormonal changes. So long time different trials are required to treat same so with patience continue consulting Gynecologist or infertility specialist in whom you have trust. Letoval is one of such treatments. Of course knowing that PCOD patients may get problem in having pregnancy, should go ahead pregnancy at the earliest.
