Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. In a diabetic patient invariably peripheral neuropathy does set in after a few years of that condition. It is seen even when blood glucose is well controlled. There are a few medications used to reduce the intensity of that condition like using methyl cobal amine, folic acid and lipoleic acid combinations and drugs like pragabalin or gabapentine are used.
