Hello I have undergone medical abortion on 11th January. Today my USG report says that'upper part of endometrium is thickened. Heterogeneous collection along with Cystic area is noted at lower uterine cavity. No embryonic pole is detected. My doc says I have to do d&c. Is it really necessary to undergo surgical process? Is not there any other option? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

15 days After medical termination trial sonography is must as in 5 % cases process does not get completed. As in your case still some products are there something needs to be done. Either straight D & C or after trial of some other drugs and repeat sonography. Only examining doctor can decide.
