I am regular patient of schizophrenia last 20 years I was on clozapine 12.5 mg once in night. But now we feel good sleep with clozapine but due to some side effect weight loss ,liver enlarge my Dr. has changed my medicine as risperidone 1 mg .So I am recently taking risperidone but I feel sleeplessness. Sir can I take clozapine sos to skip my risperidone in night once in a week?

It is not advisable to take clozapine only for Sleep. There are several other alternatives to use to improve sleep especially if you find risperidone is helping to improve your condition and there are no major side effects. If so Please stay on risperidone and ask your Psychiatrist to add sleeping tablet.
