I had unprotected vaginal sex hiv positive girl. Later found ofter 8 months. 8 months post exposure hiv westrenblot negative. 1 year elisa hiv, include hepatitis b, c,vdrl all are negative. 1 year hiv rna pcr qualitative not detected. 15 moths hiv rna pcr qualitative not detected. My following question:- 1) If I had not seroconverted in this four moths, would I still have the p24 antigen? So the test would have detected it? Is p24 antigen in the blood and becomes undetectable only when antibody star forming? If antibodies do not form for any reason p24 stays until they do. Thank you in advanced. I have read many people have the same doubt about this. 2).any further testing is needed. I will move on without safety my wife.

Antigen is detected in the blood before antibodies start forming and remains positive if it is present and for you- there is no chance for Hiv due to that separate episode
