The insulin given by your doctor is based on clinical assessment of your health ( and sugar control ). Do not worry about the insulin. You can still discuss with your doctor about it ( do not stop or change or add any other medicine without his knowledge as it can be harmful to your health ). The best option which is safe is to correct your lifestyle and do some exercise and do some Yoga. Let your body improve itself with a disciplined healthy lifestyle. If needed , your doctor may suggest stopping the insulin if your diabetes improves.
