Hello doctor, I have done my bone screening and in report phosphorus is high 6.1, Alkaline phosphatase is high 152. Calcium is normal 8.9. Also I have done my whole body check up. In report everything is fine except alkaline phosphate, RDW, MCV snd PCT. Please advice how can I balance my phosphate level. Also explain the causes, risks and diagnosis. Thanks.

The alkaline phosphatase test (ALP) is used to help detect liver disease or bone disorders. In conditions affecting the liver, damaged liver cells release increased amounts of ALP into the blood. If one or more of them are obstructed, for example by a tumor, then blood levels of ALP will often be high. Yu have only a mild increase and nothing may need to be done.
