Tumor markers are not very useful in breast cancer CA 15.9 was studied for the same. What is recommended is getting screened with a bilateral mammography from the ago of 45 years to 75 years every 2-3 yearly. Also recommended is clinical examination every 2-3 years by a breast surgeon or a Surgical oncologist. Breast self examination every 4-6 weeks. If high risk like BRCA, then MRI screening recommended at young age.
