I have fungal infection on left side of cheek its like a ringworm from last 4-5 months. I have prescribed fluconazole, terbinafine for 10 days and before that I was on some aayurvedic medicines with Castor-NF cream. With this I was given luliconazole in liquid form but that creates more itching and redness after that I was given lamifin-M only this helps in recovering but now again signs are growing with red outer line and irritating same. Kindly suggest me what to do should I start that medicine again?

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please use [LAMIFIN-M]regularly and add a multivitamin caps regularly. Do follow lifestyle modification like this- 1) Wash the affected area with an antibacterial soap and pat it dry with a clean towel. Soak a cotton swab in the iodine tincture. Dab it on the affected area. Do this three times a day for up to four weeks. 2) Wash your hands often to avoid the spread of infection. 3) Try to stay cool and dry. Don't wear thick clothing for long periods of time in warm, humid weather. Avoid excessive sweating. 4) Avoid infected animals. The infection often looks like a patch of skin where fur is missing. In some cases, though, you may not notice any signs of the disease. Ask your veterinarian to check your pets and domesticated animals for ringworm. 5) Don't share personal items. Don't let others use your clothing, towels, hairbrushes or other personal items. Refrain from borrowing these items from others as well. Hope that helps Follow me with image.
