16 week pregnant previous I check my thyroid it was 11.8 at that time I was 6 week pregnant after that I start medicine thyronorm 100 mcg and after taking medicine for about one month my tsh level came to .83 and FT4 WAS 1.41 NG/DL DURING THIS TIME I AM 8 week pregnant doctor say you continue with same medicine thyronorm 100 mcg then after 2 month I again check KNOW TSH LEVEL WAS 0 .69 and FT4 IS 1.21 THIS TIME I SHOW MY REPORT TO DOCTOR SHE SAY STILL U HAVE TO CONTINUE WITH SAME MEDICINE WITH SAME POWER 100 MCG IS IT NECESSARY TO TAKE SAME dosage.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I am sure your doctor must have mentioned about the TSH levels to be maintained during the gestational period. Those should be 1st Trimester: 0.1 to 2.5 mU/L, 2nd Trimester: 0,2 to 3.0 mU/L & 3rd Trimester: 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L. Maintaining TSH levels within these ranges is absolutely essential through out the 9 months. Since TSH level mentioned is 0.69 mU/L, it is within the limit. Therefore, there is no need to change the dosage. If you have any doubts please do come back.
