My husband was on insulin for last one year, he was given Glucored forte (1-0-1, Oxra 10 mg (1-0-0, Jalra 50/500 (1-0-0) his sugar was well in control fasting 120 to 130, later the doctor stopped all this medicine and gave only Glucored Forte (1-0-1) for two months, his sugar was all the way high fasting 220-230, now the doctor is telling that there is too much protein leak in the urine and again put him on Insulin Novomix 30 (12-0- 10) and Glycomet Trio 2 mg (1-0-1) ,its been two days but his fasting sugar levels are still at 187 and 197 and afterglow around 314. Please advise what to do?

Please consult a Nephrologist as too much protein leak is sign of kidney failure which is common in diabetes of long standing. Kidneys need tobe protected from further damage and efforts should be done to maintain their function.
